Art Matters
I’m a former journalist and editor and have written extensively for the last 20 years about art, technology and culture. This month, I’m organizing all of my posts on Substack and started a newsletter, Metaculture. I hope you can join me there and subscribe. The first issues are free and will be published once or twice a week and will all be free for the time being. I also write about other artists, their processes, and what inspires them. I’ve republished a profile of a friend from San Francisco, plein air painter Lucia Gonnella. She explores neighborhoods all over the city and says that she doesn’t choose her subjects – the scenery, color and people in the surroundings choose her! A worthwhile read and a look at her amazing artwork.
