Freedom Lines
For this 16x12 inch piece on canvas panel I made a quick pencil sketch of shapes lines to form the composition and laid down some texture with acrylic medium. I wanted a grid that evoked movement and transportation and the choice of palette is cool and friendly. The use of lines of varying thickness and color attract the viewer into a cool composition of blue, green and grey tones with burnt sienna as the highlight. The mood is contemplative, yet dynamic.
